Japanese is a state language of Japan, a world economic power. It bears fruit and prestige to co-operate with Japanese partners. Even though Japanese belongs to a single nation, it is spoken by over 140 million. Its origin and familial relations are not defined.
Japanese may be dubbed a record holder for many systems of writing used. Traditional Japanese writing includes Chinese characters (Kanji) and two syllabaries Hiragana and Katakana. Each script has a place of its own in modern writing. To write well in Japanese, you will have to meet the rules accurately when to use Hiragana and Katakana. Should one script be used instead of the other, the text becomes barely readable or even incomprehensible.
Traditionally, the Japanese used the Chinese manner of writing, the characters are written in columns going from top to bottom, with columns ordered from right to left. Even though a horizontal format reading from left to right was formally adopted in Japan in 1959, it is largely used in formal correspondence and research texts. Fiction and newspapers are more up to the older type of writing. Signboards and slogans occasionally employ a horizontal script going from right to left.
The Tallinn-based ATCG experts have a perfect command of all systems of Japanese writing and will always be happy to help you set formal correspondence in motion with your Japanese partners.
Since Japan encompasses many isolated islands, its language has a dozen dialects with essential differences in vocabulary, morphology, use of particles, and pronunciation in some cases. The accent in Japanese is tonic. Each word has a peculiar pitch, in the first place, and hence a number of vibrations produced by sounds. There are three pitches of tone: low, medium, and high. Albeit similar phonetically, the words may have a different meaning, depending on the pitch.
Moreover, Japanese has several levels of politeness which are strictly met with. Only highly skilled interpreters may do interpreting from/into Japanese. The Tallinn-based ATCG experts are perfectly good at Japanese which is why your conversation with Japanese partners will flow easily and freely, without pauses or tension.
